Ok i got my starter fixed they put a rebuilt one in and it works fine now...and while it was being fixed i drove my dads 94 ssei (mmm supercharger) anyways i noticed that the trunk light bulb was burned out so i pulled out the plastic piece that holds it to get out the bulb and took out the bulb. while the blub and the plastic piece that holds it were taken out (i disconnected the wire that goes to the plastic piece) i noticed that the interior lights didnt work so i just assumed that it was bc there wasnt a complete circuit or something. i got a replacement and i tested the bulb in my car before i left autozone and it worked so i came back and put it in and it still doesnt work. so the first thing i think is the fuses...i check all of them and they are all good so i am totally stumped as to what this could be? also while checking under the hood for fuses (maybe) i noticed that the air temperature sensor is not hooked up to the airbox....so i compared it to mine and mine is def hooked up but this one is not so ive left it alone for now just to see what you guys think...is this bad that it wasnt hooked up or what? :?: thanks!

The IAT sensor needs to be plugged in. People always unplug it when they change the air filter and they forget to plug it back in.

ok just out of curiousity whats bad about it being unplugged? also i fixed the interior lamps it was a burnt out fuse i just didnt see it....but now ive got one more prob the power antenna on my car has stopped working...the motor doesnt even make a sound or anything when its supposed to go up. any ideas?

If it'* unplugged the car doesn't know the temerature, and can't mix the fuel correctly, resulting in bad milage.

Check to see if you can hear a "click" when the radio is turned on and off, if you dont, you'll need to replace the relay, or find out why you're not getting power there.

Do the power locks still work?

ok i plugged the IAT sensor back in no problem there. When i turn the radio on and off i do hear a click coming from in the back. so what could that mean?

That means the relay works. Now, why doesn't it hae power to move? I assume the antenna is on the power lock ciruit, Do those work?

yea my power locks work i use the remote all the time and it locks right up

Ok, pull back the trunk lining to see the antenna wiring, there are two connectors hooked to the relay (that black box hooked to the antenna shaft if you didn't already know) one goes to the antenna, the other to the front of the car.

The one that goes to the front of the car is the one we're concerned with.

The Orange wire should have 12v on it.
The Pink wire has 12v when the antenna should be up.
The Black wire is ground.

Fuse 24 in the I/P fuse block is used by the radio to signal the antenna. If your radio turns on, this is good.

Fuse 3 in the Relay Center (under the passenger side of the dash, you have to remove the kick panel to see it) actually powers the antenna.
