You know what, I think I should take the wheels off one side so I can get some good pics of the whole spring set. That way you can see what I do!
I'll take as many pictures as needed and of anything you'd like to see.

I looked the pics over again Harvey and I think you do have them on right. And the top spring does "sit" in the right spot to catch the perch. That model must just sit on the perch when unloaded, especially if worn. The perchs are obviously missing and is very apparent by the shiny bare area'* the perchs were taken off. You need to find/buy a set or use a large piece of angle iron and fabricate and get that spring off the bed. It wouldn't take much weight for it to punch through hitting a dip or pothole. I can't find those online. They are called spring perchs and spring stops.

Got this dually for a good price and glad of it since it needs some very important work to get it back to it'* stock height, both rear and front. Got coil springs for the front from the same truck these overloads came off of too. Should be good for my truck too.

Strange what some folks do to a good machine! Change was just for lowering but I'm gonna use this truck for a very nice RV for "the Mrs." and I to do some traveling.
