They use the green caps so that they know it is filled with Nitrogen and NOT regular air.

Nitrogen is lighter than air and the Molecule is much larger so it it less prone to leaks

Consistent inflation pressure over longer periods
- Nitrogen permeates through the tire at a rate of 35% slower that oxygen (air)
- Under inflated tires flex and build up heat, breaking down the rubber over time
- 60% of blowouts are caused by under inflation
- Consistent inflation improves tread life
- Vehicle handling is improved
Longer Tire Life
- Nitrogen is a dry gas which disperses heat more rapidly resulting in cooler running tires. This preserves the integrity of the rubber, belts, and bead
- This inert gas also significantly slows the chemical aging process associated with oxygen and moisture (air)

Yes to the green valve stem caps signifiying nitrogen. Had to go back in and ask for some black ones. Didn't look right.

For Sonoma the wheel weights are on the inside. I doubt they are stick on, but they are no longer on the outside and I need to clean where they were.

Suggestions? bug and tar remover?

Actually I think they use the same weights as on the outside. They slide between tire and rim don't they?

I have had rims in the past done with only inside weights and they are the same ones as the outside, ( hammer on). Some places do use stick on weights, but you are able to do it both ways ( standard and stick on).
