Toyota Avalon has had one from the factory for years, as an option. I'm glad to see GM offering one :P

The REASON GM did this is because starting with the 03 models GM changed (AGAIN) the way a remote start can work (or in this can't work). Any aftermarket Remote Start will NOT WORK in a 03 Model! It stats this plainly in the owner'* manual too !
