LE-Luxury Editon???
SE-Sports Edition?
SLE-Sports Luxury Edition
SSE-Super Sport Editon
SSEi-Super Sport Edition....i?
What does the i stand for anyone? The conversations I have with people on this one just come to the conclusion of just being supercharged but what does it really mean :?

OK. I always thought the SS meant Super Sport so when you put the E in the you got Super Sport Edition. I kinda figured you all discussed the trim level meanings already.

The "i" stands for "inducted", as in FORCE FED, or SC'd.

On some cars SE stands for sport economy but I don't think that is what the bonne stands for.

If you go to my website, click on Bonneville, and click on the timeline link, you'll see what I have so far for these abbreviations. Sounds like I may have to go to pontiac and ask them for confirmation. Disclaimer: I know there is incorrect info on the timeline....but pretty close for the most part. Still working on it.

NICE TIMELINE. Who all checked it out already? I like it. 1 thing though, what happened to the SLE in '93 on down?

Somewhere, buried in all these posts, are the answers to the accuracy on the timeline....HOWEVER, I can gaurantee you there was no SLE in '93. I have the '93 owners manual that lists all 93 models....and it ain't there! I have some minor discrepancies in models, engine, trannies, and the exhaust isn't complete, plus I have to fill in 00-03. I'll keep plugging at it, and I think I'll just keep a progress note at the top of the page. I hadn't intended to post it yet, but I finally gave in. I need everyone to look at it and give me feedback before we give it our 'blessing'
