I wouldnt' go with the 160. 180 is as low as I would go. Being in Minnesota your heater output isn't going to be exactly hot with a 160 thermo. I would go with the 180 personally. I had it in the Riviera and it was a nice blend between performance and heat output. The heat output really did not go down with the 180 that I noticed. I did lose around 1-2 MPG highway though. also with the 160, it may be too cold for the car causing the service engine soon light to come on if the car does not get up to a certain temperature within a pre-set time. For all these reasons I would recommend the 180, but not the 160. I also see you have the Monsoon system in that Regal.. they sound very nice for a stock system! The concert sound II system that it would have if it did not have the monsoon suck pertty bad.

A 180 thermostat runs around $8 from a store such as autozone, etc. Don't go to a GM dealer.. they'll only try to talk you out of teh 180 thermostat all together claiming it'll damage your car or something. (which it will not.) As for exhaust, magnaflow, flowmaster, and Borla sound awesome on the 3800. The borla on the riv sounds awesome. Sounds like the car has a small V8 in it.

I loved mine too.... and I MISS mine! Come to think of it, my mom has offered to trade me straight up her 2000 SSEi for my car. usually I would jump on it, but my car has 39,000 on it, hers has 53,000. The Bose stereo and the supercharger would be nice and it'* tempting but so is my fuel economy and comfort level. :?

Actually, I think that the 99s had the Concert Sound 3, at least, that'* what I have in the Park Ave. It sounds pretty good, plenty of power for me, and great sound quality.

You'll love the Regal. I had a 2000 Regal GSE with all the comforts. The Supercharger was awesome and really had a kick to it. Mine was plenty fast stock. Judging from the looks of the interior, it was built in Late 99 cause the cupholder cover has a handle. The previous years did not. There are plenty of upgrades for the engine, so you should have no problem. Too Bad SLP doesn't make the GSX Kit anymore. That was a hot kit for those cars. You should also check out this [url=http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PFYC&Category_C ode=RG&Product_Code=RG5002} Exhaust. [/url] There is more stuff there as well. Good Luck with the car and Don't Beat Haro Too much...

yeah Regals frikkin fast, you should have no trouble walkin a S1 SSEi even if its modded. Stock that Regal is good for a 15 flat with no changes...pull the ABS speed sensors and break like a 14.8. Trust me my Buick is far faster than my Bonne was when I tore her down this winter, im hoping for a 13.8-14.2 1/4 when im done with the Regal (i.e. after I install the Hypertech and yank that U bend and put in an ABS interupter) Taks a heck of alot to get an S1 SSEi to go that fast....DrJay may have the only 13 second S1 SSEi (although not official at this time due to his slaking to get to the strip ) and hes got more $$ in mods in that car than my Bonnes worth!!!
