Wow! That must have been one hell of a grade to do that to a L67.

I'd say in the 6% area

My trips up home hit the 5% area...

Hans... What was the altitude of the Grades? Driving through Parts of Colorado I think we hit 10000 ft I lived at 6200 ft for a long time.... Dry and thin air

* Edit * Nevermind... 4400 Ft... Hmmm... 2nd gear to maintain 75? Wow

75 more like 65. I'd say in the 8% ish, trucks were going really slow, I know at 10% it can only go about 55 in 2nd

highest pass I saw was 7700ft

Default maybe i should go give my bonne a pat on the hood!

after hearing you guys talk about mileage and having put in a new timing chain and gears i thought maybe i should do a mileage check both local and hi-way. i thought it was ok till i read this today....now i'm thinking i should be really impressed!

local driving was about 40% city and 60% regular highway....averaged 26 mpg with just me in the car.

hi-way trip was all 4 lane to pick up friends at the airport. steady driving, cruise set on 75 but on the way back there was 3 of us and a trunkload of luggage....got 33mpg.

not bad for an 89 with almost 300,000km(187,000miles) on the odometer!
