hey...you should do something soon...cuz if you get pulled for speeding and the cop notices your tires, you'll get the speeding ticket and a ticket for the bald tires....and whatever else your doing wrong

I think more importantly than getting a ticket; you're risking your life and other people'* lives if your tires allow your car to leave the road during any sort of emergency maneuver at speed. You said you always buy tires used. I think in the long run you probably pay about the same in terms of cost per mile of tire buying new or used, so why not just buy new to begin with? The cost of physical therapy and reconstructive surgery is a lot more than the cost of tires. The *REASON* you'd get a ticket for those tires is because they had to make a law to keep people from killing themselves and others by driving on tires like that.

My vote is to go buy some new tires that are a more appropriate size for your car. The other tires you have aren't the proper size for your car. Sell them.

just a little side note too... those tires won't be a full inch shorter... when you mount them on the car the radius is only 1/2 inch shorter...

besides the spedo being off and the odometer being off i don't see that much of a problem... especially if you are just going to use them to tide you over till new ones come your way.

Technically .. you'll be putting less miles on the car...while reading more mileage.

And you'll also get a better jump off the line

However..gas mileage will suffer with smaller tires.
