So I just got back from the transmission specialist and I just got quoted 450 to instal a another tranny into my bonneville. So my two questions are is that a reasonable price? and would I be able to use the transmission from a 98 buick regal GS in my 98 bonneville ssei? p.* sorry if i posted this in the wrong category !

$450 to install a new trans is a good price. The trans from the Regal is the same, but the diff and diff cover may be different as the one in your SSEi is a 4t65e-hd, and the regal may be a 4t65e. The output shaft, diff, and diff cover can be transfered over to the new trans with no problems, when done correctly.
