I belive the 97+ SSEi'* got the 4T65-E, much stronger transmission, cant go wrong there.
oh and the car has been at the dealership all day, and is now there over night, it takes minutes to scan for codes, my guess is something is defintally wrong.

I wish I owned something with a warranty....That would be nice.....then for the last like 2,000 miles I'd break everything I could and gget it all replaced.....But with my luck that method wouldn't work.

UPDATE 2****
Car came out of shop today, they replaced the ign switch apparently it was at fault, it powers something in the transmission, hence the bad shifts from park into any gear, so i take the car home, decide to go get a movie, on the way back i come to a stop, go to drive away, it shutters badly again. i get home, drop off the movie, go back to the dealership that i purchased it at, VERY mad, and simply say enough dickin around, fix the damned car, im sick of this. So one of the service advisors gets into the car with me, we make the 5 minute trip to the Pontiac Buick dealership. A transmission specialist tech there comes with me and takes along his GM scan tool, we go for a drive, i couldnt get the car to do it at the first part, then i had it slipping at every red light, he said this is defintally a major problem, and if he had to take a guess he would say clutch packs, but he will further diagnose it tomorrow morning, it was nice to finally have someone who now knows exactly what its doing.

I'm betting they flushed it and now all of the problems are starting to show.
