With a 180 stat and a big ol cooler i would run it threw both,,in heavy stop and go city traffic your
not going to get any air flow threw it,, at least if it'* threw the Rad. you can run your
fans and with the 180 stat should stay somwhat cool.......$.02

On my NA 95 L36, My trans temps around town dropped from 230F to 180F... General driving seemed to stay around 160-180 depending on traffic, my driving habbit and the daytime temps... I have yet to see the fluid be any other color than red
