Default My first taste of whine

I took my first real ride in the SSEi tonight. My first thought was it didn't have the neck snapping accelleration I anticipated but it was strong nevertheless. The trip was only 5 miles and mostly town roads so I couldn't get a full taste of the L67. I was also expecting to hear the SC whine more but it was only audible under mild, steady accelleration and was pretty quiet at that.

Although I've run a half of a tank of gas through it during testing and whatnot, this is the first time it'* been driven in I'll guess 6 months... maybe upwards to a year. The seller has said it had been sitting for some time prior to my purchase. Due to this, the brakes sounded like hell and didn't bite very well. Also, the ABS light is on constantly.

Overall, I'm very happy with the results and look forward to getting it registered next week. It'* been a long, hard road and now I'm ready for my rewards

Very little whine with a stock intake setup. Keep up the good work!

Put a CAI on it ! My SSEI has a ... zzzZZZZZIIIng sound to it.
Some folks dont like it. I think it sounds cool. Also try the
TPS and Boost bypass mod. Those 2 things really woke my SSEI up.

The CAI is high on my priority list. I'm going to replace the double washer fluid tank with the single tank out of the parts car for some more room. Maybe I can make one as sexy as Foghorn'*

You know what.. you have a damn good idea on your hands. I know our bottles are made differently blah blah blah.. but my headlight sprayer works.. and the coolant overflow and windsheild bottles sitting there are nasty, and I don't like them. The coolant overflow could be relocated.. and the washer fluid could all go into the head light container, and move the lines, because both are related, I could have them both run off one pump.. or have two.. one for windsheild, one for headlights. I am going to investigate this now.
