Default Must come clean well need advise....

As I have mentioned recently I have been looking for another car..... OK another Bonneville.

Preferably a "i" 00+ well I have looked at a few even a 97? least thats what I think it was but it was white. and given the opportunity I wouldn't hesitate jumping on a 97-00 SSEi. But as of right now im looking for a 00+ exclusively something close that I can throughly inspect and a Canadian car, not off a car lot. Well here is the problem I mentioned B4 that I looked at one but it was beat up pretty bad.... It'* almost like it has 200K on it. Well the conversation came up again with the owner who is having some financial hardships (his loss my gain) ?. Not exactly he is pretty firm in his price 15,000 as it sits with 67,XXX kms the price seems kind of high.

Now if this car was immaculately clean and in perfect shape I wouldn't hesitate but just from a quick drive I know that it is in real rough shape. I sent it in again after doing this once hoping that it would be different. But after a quick inspection it is the same. this could be contributed to being on the road then sitting? but I doubt it. For sure it needs Struts in the front and all the bushings are finished, Brakes, Ebrake, 2 calipers, exhaust (hole) well Holes

If i do the brake build on the GXP and lower it some if not all of the parts would transfer I would still need to replace the struts.

IF i bought it right now I can't see offering more then 10,000 I mean i have seen a 13,000 SSEi road worthy.... So I might just walk away again....

This car has been ridin hard and put to bed wet. It would most likely be the worst car on BC for the year. The other thing that wories me is what I can't see.

Just keep in mind this car would not be a daily driver I have no plans for it to be Tomorrow I'll take the modis for a ride, What do I need to look for ?

Heres a vid

then flipping thru the Autotrader I find this

My best advice would be to follow your gut.

If you don't feel comfortable or quite right with that car, walk away.

My dad was looking at a convertible and I didn't feel right with that car so I told him not to get it.

I suggest to keep looking.

That'* my advice

x2 on what Cody said. I'll add that when you do find one that feels right, make sure to get a pre-buy inspection, just to be sure.

It *IS* sick how some people treat their cars. But let me jump on the bandwagon to say that there are plenty of cars out there in good shape to choose from, you don't need to overpay for one that isn't in good shape. Why buy someone else'* headache? It'* just not worth it. Having bought my last two cars at good prices with low miles in great shape, I don't think I'm likely to ever buy a beater or a project car again, -it'* just not worth it!

I know that'* not the same for everybody, and if I was younger and had less income, I'd probably feel different, but at this point in life, I just don't need to inherit someone else'* problem-car. I recommend you don't either!
