Default Miata: 1, Lamborghini Diablo VT: 0

So there I was...minding my own business at a redlight on the way back from the GF'* house on a lonely street in the good part of town around 1am on a saturday night in the miata. A warm night it was. The air was somewhat damp from the dew that had only recently fell, and the humidity was low. There was a light breeze blowing around making the night only so much better. The redlight I sat at was the kind that you wonder if will ever turn to your advantage... no...no...no...dangit...no...TURN!!!
So I decided to change the CD'* in the radio. Whilest I played with the radio I hear a nice low rumble as it gets louder and louder. What should roll up beside me? I glance to my right and see a rather wide bright yellow vehicle. Hmmm...resembles that or a space ship or something. The windows are tinted dark so I cant see inside. I decide he wants some... YES thats correct I DECIDED he wanted some! I rev the 1.6L motor at him in classic bumble bee fashion. BBaaahhhhh... baaahhhh...

His motor responds with a low pur. I can tell right here he isnt packing all- mighty 4 cylinder power. It sounds as if it might be one of those weak engines with more than 8 cylinders. Bah... This one should be easy. He'* obviously all show and no go.

Finally I notice the adjacent light turns yellow. Ah hah...we are getting ready to go. Not worrying about my music anymore I toss the old CD into the backseat along with the CD case. I move the transmission into 1st and rev it to the redline. Suddenly the light turns green. Off we go!!!

I drop the clutch at 7200 RPMs and lanch MAD CRAZY! BAH BAH BAH BAH BAH I hear as the power of my engine continues to bounce off the rev limiter and spin the tires on the dew wettened roads. I change to 2nd gear at 15 MPH due to all the wheel spin. I hit second and the RPMs instantly go down. Luckily the enormous torque of my 98 Cubic inch motor makes up for it and I instantly begin to move again!

At this point I realize how slow these Lambroghini'* REALLY are! He has shifted twice now and we arent even past 60mph. They must be geared REALLY low. Not to mention how it hasnt gotten very loud at all. Must be like all those american V8s and doesnt rev very high. surely he isnt going much past 3000rpms. I guess the bigger the engine the less it revs! I contine to pull on him like noones business, hitting 3rd at a blistering 62 mph. i can see him in my rear view and he'* getting pulled HARD!!! At this point I realize he obvioulsy is NO match for the power of my car and decide to shut it down. He is WAY back there after all...

I return to the legal speed of 55mph, and casually reach into the backseat of my miata to grab my CD when I begine to hear this thing make noise again. I look into my rearview and realize he is trying a riceboy flyby! I downshift to 1st at 55mph so I could have more RPMs and INSTANLY begin to pull on him! Riceboy flyby SHUT DOWN!

Finally I reach into the backseat and grab my CD and put it into the CD player. The rest of the night was uneventful to say the least...

Did you notice the reference to a backseat??? now, when was the last time you heard of a 2 seater with a back seat???

Translation for the SARCASM IMPAIRED:
"I raced my Miata off the light next to a lamborghini. The Diablo had no idea we were racing... I still almost lost."
