messed up my exhaust.
backing up in a parking lot (in the rain)that recently installed new island curbs that are in my opinion way to high. I'm guessing over a foot high.
well I heard a crunch thinking I hit another car that I couldn't see due to the rain.
only to get out to see I jacked up my passenger side muffler.
first I noticed my "cowbell" tip is pushed back about 3 inches or so and pushed to the right. (that is as you are looking at it)
turns out it really hit the muffler. I don't know the extent of the damage yet as I didn't crawl under to get pics yet.
I don't hear any exhaust leak sound, so I'm guessing a pipe is bent.
I'm pissed at myself again.

Not meaning to hijack your thread, but:
rain-X on the windows makes the water bead right off... I use the windshield washer fluid with rain-x in it. I can drive thru a heavy downpour without wipers

i've done that before, but only hit the bumper and plastic fake tips. i would take it to an exhaust shop and see what they think. they might be able to just heat it up and bend it, like someone mentioned.

Not cool... but we've all hit those damn parking blocks or curbs. A lot are just lucky not to do any damage. I once saw an older model intrepid have to get toward off of one once.. be happy you didn't do that :P. The chick parked in so quick that the frame went up onto what I would imagine was a huge curb, and front tires came off the ground. Judging by my gf'* intrepid, I'd imagine she probably was looking at replacing the lower end in her motor lol.
