According to a post in "GXP/Northstars" Car & Driver reviews the GXP in September.

GXP ran a 0-60 in 6.9 secs and a 1/4 mile in 15.4 at 91mph

My uncle works for a ford dealer and has a Marauder... My dad owns a '96 Impala SS. I can honestly say I am not impressed with the Marauder. For being new and expensive it'* not that fast. It runs mid 15'* I believe, fast for a car that size yes, but my dad'* Impala walks all over it. With only exhaust and some other minor mod the impala beat it off the line, and coninued to pull on it.
96' Impala SS > 03 Marauder

Yeah... Car and Driver agreed too. One thing that stuck out in my mind was that the Maurauder was a full second slower to 60mph (7.5 vs. 6.5 in the V8 Impy SS)... and the L67 SS posted a 6.5, also, IIRC.

No no no, not at all! My "Wimpala" comment referred strictly to the newer versions. I only wish the 94-96'* were still around. :( I had a '92 Caprice 9C1 (police package) with the LS1 that hauled, and I know the LT1 was even meaner!
