Default Many thanks.

I just closed the hood on my '95 88 and pronounced it "finished" (if there ever is such a thing with a car). Quick history on this rig. I bought it for song from a auction. The pristine condition of the paint and interior told me it had been a garage baby most of its life. I bought it for my daughter after her Prism was totaled by a guy running a red light. She did not want it 'cause an Oldsmobile was a "old mans car". (That about pissed me off good. she not not even seen the car yet.) It started and ran well at the auction, all power options worked so I suspected the tranny was bad even though it would move under its own power at the auction yard (they did not allow "test drives"). True to form, the tranny gave it up 'bout a mile from the auction yard. Flash foward to today. After having it for a year and a half, the mechanical fix is "done". It would not have happened without the help of everyone on this forum. The list of fixes is quite extensive, eveything from a rebuilt tranny to all new AC parts. The majority of these I was able to do myself with information freely given by members of this forum. I have more in than its worth now, but I am confident in its mechanical ability to go anywhere with it and will drive the wheels off of it now. The addition of a set of 16" wheels off a 2004 Concorde LXI, and a limo tint job has transformed it into anything but an "old mans car". Performance is beyond my expectations and the long distance comfort level is excellent.

Thanks again to everyone here who has this car a keeper.
