Use my covers. It might be cheaper from the dealer because there will be no shipping charges.

Or the wrecker. We know you're good at that Greenzilla thanks you daily! Funny that I have New York wrecker parts on a car in Oregon.

Thanks Bill. It looks like a trip to the local salvage yard is in order when the weather gets better.

I went to the dealer today to get one of those lugnut covers and they charged me $2.53 for one of those little covers. I figured they should only cost about $1.50 or so. I mean they are only cheap plastic and the way I drive i'll be losing more shortly.

That'* why I'm going to Pep Boys. $30 for all new chrome lugnuts that will look just like, or better than, the plastic covers.

Shouldn't fall off either, but it'* happened to me (because of me) before. Not fun to watch your own tire pass you....

It was suprising, but it was in an old 66 Bug, so not too scary. She balanced real well, as Bugs are known to do, til I came to a stop. Then I saw a wheel go through the intersection, and a few seconds later, the car tipped to the right rear a few inches. I looked in the seat next to me, and sure 'nuff, there'* 5 little lug nuts needing a home....

Luckily, this happened at the house I grew up in, way out in the boonies. No traffic to worry about...

I got mine at the GM parts direct link posted earlier on this thread. They were fairly priced, but of course the shipping more than killed the savings!

Still, it may be an option if you're not by a dealer or auto parts store that can get them for you.
