Been fighting a very odd KR problem, comes and goes, tuning didn't seem to help. Well, today I did another scan and I started to hear this.

KR was going nuts. Limped it back home and went under looking for the sound, really hoping it'* not a rod bearing. Seems to be right here.

So, looks like the engine comes back out. Hoping it'* just a loose flex plate to crank bolt.

Do you think the flexplate cracked?

Not sure if it'* the motor right now. I'm going to get my hands on a dial indicator and check the run out on the flex plate. I think I may pull the transmission instead. That should be easier.

Did you check the flex to TC bolts? Go double check, if they aren't tight, you are going to get that exact noise.

Skip runout..there'* no issue there. That noise is either flex bolts or rod bearing. I am hopeful that you find the TC bolts loose, but your oil pressure is saying other things.

All bolts are tight. Part way to removing the transmission. Will check the bolts at the crank. Not real happy with this. Engine never even got a WOT.

Take it out before you tear it apart. Because that noise is a bearing. Sorry for your loss.

Not what I wanted to hear. Really didn't want to go shopping for a new engine.

I killed one, put in a JY one that made it 10 miles...pulling into the yard it stalled, that bad. Third time was a serious charm for me.

Wish you didn't need to do the same, but that noise belongs to one thing, expecially since you noticed pressure taking a dive.
