Well, looks like I'm getting the car.

It should be delivered tomorrow (Friday). I'll post spome pics and more info on the car when It'* in my driveway. As for a transmission, the dealership I work for also has a Pontiac franchise. I was quoted $1600 for a 3/36 warranty factory GM reman.

I'm excited to see how this car performs.

Hi Rick,
Welcome to the other side!!
I remember you from the SDML and the ML by Cliff Ramsdell or Gary Donavan (FWDML or something like that).
I've been here for a few years since I hatched the engines in my 87 Shelby Lancer (ES) clone, 91 Daytona CS AGS (A-56, and 1988 Lebaron TURBO GTC Convertable (TII and original A-520).
So Jeff King (?) hit 500 hp?!?!! WOW!!!! I soo want to get a ride in that. That'd probably give BADSSEi a good run for the money (given the R/T can get traction). Jeff and his dad were up here a couple years ago to buy parts from one of my brothers R/T parts cars.

As for the 1996 Bonneville SE SC, that is a rare car. Doesn't necessarily mean parts will be hard to find -basically like a TII base Daytona.
You should have no problems (aside from a alternator maybe) doing 100 miles daily. If it'* running good you should see in the neighborhood of 28-31 mpg freeway, and 23-27 with a mix of in town/freeway.
One thing I will say though -get a CAI -even a cheap Ebay setup (you can still make one for cheaper) -you will definitely notice an increase in power, and the SC whine will be more immenent.

Again, welcome aboard,
Martin McCoy

I think it'll be a good change of pace to get away from the TD guys for a while.

The 500 WHP car was recently sold to a guy out of state but was owned by Larry Jolliffe who put down the 500 WHP #'*.

Here'* a link to that car:

Here'* a link with the dyno #'*

It doesn't make it more prominent. Originally I couldn't strain hard enough to barely hear a little whine. Now after CAI anything over 2K rpms everyone around says...What'* that? Ricers still don't have a clue as to what I have under the hood...they've never heard the sound

Well, another car has come into the mix and the SE is for sale on eBay as well as locally. Just thought I'd give the board a heads up on this rare car.

eBay item # 4554795819

The engine alone is worth the starting bid $$
