Default just got one too

your price made me wince till i seen gm card credit . I just bought one last thursday for 29 and a little change total. tax and tags included so our deals must have been close to same, God is it a beautiful car , cranbery metalflake and fully optioned out so dont know if cd harness would be in yours.... have to agree with sse guys though I"ve wot couples times(shame on me with no break in) and though its got jump and those factory ehausts are some of the best ive heard i think it would have a hard time getting into 15'*..... but already sold myself into buying nitrous setup for my birthday and i will let you know. Anyway i fugure i spent this much and for under another grand i can pull up to anything new on street ..... as mentioned here before there is nada for performance mods out there and i think the nitrous will fix the sluggish start . just wonder how much torque the fwd tranny can take / I hear their real pricey.and after really peeking under all the northstar plastic on top there isnt room for squat. dam they pack that v8 in there. glad i got extended warranty cause this fat old man aint getting in there to do much. but nitrous doesnt need much room. I previously installed one to my park ave 3800sc and it made that tuna boat fly.

I think you got a good deal ,prices vary by area alot and who wants to buy in say oregon ,when ya live in new york also ops vary in gxp and the cd box and electric sunroof alone add 2000

God is it a beautifull car, feel like a teenager and cant stop going out in the driveway and staring at it

I had a dealer in Jackson, MI offer to match my price for a GXP with the premium Crimson paint. I was tempted...

I hardly ever used my GM card.... then a few days ago, I got a letter/card from GM Ccard that my car allowance was increased from $46 to $2000. Cool! GM is trying to get away from rebates, but they're figuring out other ways to offer incentives.

I hate to admit it, but it worked on me. I probably wouldn't have bought without that $2000 booster.

I'm glad to hear that you like it! Seriously though, wait until it breaks in. That northstar engine is going to wake-up. I promise you.

This is driving me nuts.... I am fence sitting!

I like the car, but I really don't need a new car and to buy it, I'd have to trade my Camaro SS rag-top. Since the Camaro is nearly paid for and, as I said, I don't NEED a car this is crappy position to be in!

If they can come up with one of those deals you "can't pass up" I'll part with the Camaro. Until then, I'll be sitting here annoyed!

I should have never went down there and looked at the darn car.....

Allen your post made me really chuckle , iI felt same way when I bought a 89 lasabre new and then seen the 91 park aves.... but there are some good deals still outthere
the sticker price made the gxp a sales loser and they have quite a few left.
i've even seen some car search sites that will send your interest to a wide selections of dealers and let them get back to you with a rock bottom price.
I bought my gxp on impulse taking my lacroose in for a recall and think if I would have went the other route i could have gotten an even better deal(29k total), with sticker price pennies from 40k /course what year is your ragtop -i see them going for 150k
dollars (pristine condition)/60'* thru early 70'* with ss package even more for the rare rs/ss package......maybe you should call jackson and barrett in arizona....then
you could trade it for two

ROTFLMAO!!!! Gawd I wish! No, it'* a 2002 SS- looks similar to ZeeVert'* shown in this thread above. In fact, mine'* black as well. While it is in imaculate condition (just clicked over 5000 miles), I'd take a beating on it since it is a late model domestic. I know I'd make out better selling it outright, but I haven't even listed anywhere since I really have no intention of selling it. The Camaro is an incredibly fun car, extremely reliable (have seen many with over 100k miles running as strong as ever) and serves it purpose VERY well. We seldom drive it, only taking it out on the weekends and for joy-rides. I'm driving it now while I'm on travel and I have put more miles on it in the last 3 weeks than in the previous 3 years! One advantage of living in Hawai, but we recently moved back to the east coast- more asphault here.

We have another vehicle (Chevy Avalanche) that is my better half'* daily driver and I ride the Geezer Glide every day unless there'* ice. The move to trade/sell the Camaro is really more my wife'* idea, looking at the practicality of seating for 5 with 3 kids. My rub is with eliminating the SS which is, as stated nearly paid for.

I will admit, the GXP is the only car I have seriously considered to replace the SS with. Granted, they are apples and oranges but atleast it (the GXP) has performance and style. The one I've been eyeing is the white/gold tri-coat paint ant the taupe (sp?) interior. Dayum.....

Just for giggles (and self-inflicted torture) I drove by the stealership earlier today while they were closed just to see if it was in fact still there (1st time in 3 weeks). Shure enough, still there and looks as if it hasn't moved since I was there last- exact same spot and the brake rotars have a ton of rust on them now. I did notice something side-swiped the rear lower quarter on the bumper cover.... pretty good mark (about 10-12" long and couple inches wide) I'm guessing from one of their golf-carts based on how high the gash is Should be able to buff out, but its in the plastic bumper cover and is a good sized mark..... They should atleast wash the damn thing! Starting to feel sorry for her and want to run to the rescue! Yea, I need help..... but it'* a sharp car and shouldn't be neglected like that!

Who knows, maybe they are even more willing to deal?! If they would do something around $26k out-the-door, I'd drive it home and take my lumps from the Better half
Guess I'll head back Tuesday and see what they are willing to do now.

was just ribbin ya about barrett and jackson, hey late model camaros are nice...hope its a v8 tho....and not a 2.8 or 4.3 hate those two motors. seriously tho, ya mine has rusty rotors also and i'm gonna paint non load area with heat proof paint soon as snow stops and put ceramics pads on cuz man do them big calipers make dust everywhere.

but...what a car , dont test drive it if ya got cold feet cause it will totally warm them up

starting to think I should have played hardball with the dealer a little harder from what i've read since, i could have shaved a little more off deal........

i'd go down there play real reluctant and point out the rust, blemish,AGE of car,and tell yourself to be patient and maybe you can get lower than i seen posted here(26)

we need more gxp members the ssei guys are ganging up on us

Prolly never gonna happen bro, 14 years of SSEi production versus 2 years of GXP.

Maybe its best for the Northstar/Shortstar posse to clique up
