Correct. Chevy also had many unsold 1982'*, that and along with the issues the new chassis had. I know late in 1983 after I started as a parts runner for a large Chevy dealer (while in high school), I can recall seeing both the old 1982 & the a few 1984 Corvettes side by side on the dealer lot!
the supposed '83 cars were released very late in 83 as 84 models however. notorious for structural integrity failure(frames came from south america). the most consistant car in my opinion has got to be the mustang. who else sell 100,000 cars consistantly every freakin year.

Didn't the Bonneville actually start in 57? 57-05? 48 years... I guess 2 more was way out of the picture when GM only sold 29,000 bonnies last year... I think they did 100,000 in 92...
