I try too, but don't get them all. There is always a chance of someone takeing your plate number and looking you up. It also leaves the door a little father open for someone to mess with you, wether online in a post, or with your car directly.

It'* just best habbit to blur it out, but not neccissary.

Yea it'* mostly for security reasons. Someone comes online, checks out your car and what you have in it, then looks up your plate #. It'* rare but it can happen.

I don't bother to blur/white mine out, since my nick "MERLIN1" is my LP.

I don't sweat it. I have a pretty boring life so if anyone wants my info from my plate...then they are real losers and they would be disappointed

Yeah, I can't think of any argument in _favor_ of leaving the plate visible, so blur it out if you want; that won't do any harm.

On the other hand, mine wound up on the Chicago Ten O'Clock News in a segment on aggressive drivers (plus also appearing in promos for the story all evening), so maybe three _milllion_ people got a quick glimpse of my plates, and nobody ever gave me a hard time about _that_...

I figure that my car is pretty much one of it'* kind in the area, so it already sticks out more. And if someone makes a trip to 'Kato just to do something to my car, they'll be disappointed. :P

I don't care about it. I actually didn't think it was possible for someone to type in a plate # and find out about the person. It sounds like it would be impossible to do, or should be, because it would be so easy to mess with ppl.

But I like my plates, so I'm gonna flaunt them. But someone behind you at a red light or anyone driving along can get your plate number then. And you can't drive around with your plates covered up, so I don't think it'* a big problem. But it doesn't take long to blur them on the comp, so ppl might as well do it if they worry about it.

There'* my 10 cents, my 2 cents is free.

Anybody who'* a cop can do it (from the comfort of their own squad car, nowadays). Anybody who has a friend who'* a cop can do it. News reporters always know someone who can run a plate for them. It'* not hard to get done if you need it.

Oh i'd do it

No you're way out there, finding your house would be hard enough.... Besides anyone can have cars looked up at the DMV for a price. I dunno about plates or whatnot, but i do try to do it, but i forget too. Who'* gonna come after a bonnie anyways though...
