Default Leaking trunk & ?

has any one had any problems with a trunk leak. i get my car back from the shop, look in the trunk and there 3 inches of water in the spare well. not to mention all the carpet is soaked. some how there water drops on my subs and on the bottom of my 6x9s that are on top so how it this even possible.

only thing i can come up with is that i dont drive it all that much and snow tends to sit on it. so when it melts its getting down in the crack and refreezing and lifted the lid enough to let a **** load of melting snow in.

cuz i called the dealer and they said they didnt wash it. i could tell that

and also side question does anyone get like orange red spots on the clear coat after not washing for a wile. it looks like rust acually. it does come off but its a pain in the ***. any one know what it is

any help would be great.

the only way i can thing to test my theory is i took EVERYTHING system, carpet and all. and tomarrow when its alil warmer climb inside the trunk shut the lid with a flashlight and have some one dump a whole crap load of water all over

i took pictures ill upload em when i get the chance

That seems like an awful lot of water from snow melt. When did you last look in the trunk?

I have the same problem, again, except my trunk is filled with solid ice... im pretty sure its where the spoiler attaches where the water is leaking in, but its really freakin cold.....

i dont think thats my problem cuz there is carpet on the underside of the trunk lid and its not wet. but its still a possibility worth looking into

thanks

and mine prolly was a chunk of ice too but from being at the dealer its hot in their shop so im sure thats when it melted.

you can see from teh pics there is some ice still.
