ok so to take a look at my air filter i remove the cover off the PCM, then take out the screws that join the two pieces ot the intake together right? i was gonna just go ahead and try it but i have a horrible reputation for taking things apart and not putting them back together right.
There are two screws that hold the airbox together, and I think there are two others that secure the airbox onto the frame. You'll have to remove all four of these to get at the filter. You shouldnt have to monkey with the PCM cover at all.

thanks man ill try and take a look at it.the PCM cover was overlappin the rest a little so ill probly take it off (i loves my space) but when i popped the hood today i had just got back from driving it so it was stankin hot under there.i just gotta say its like someone does an engine swap when this car hits 4000rpms.its crazy
but thats when it hits max torque so i guess thats why.
