THAT kinda looks like a Mythbusters aftermath.

I guess airbags don't quite work that well when it comes to an accident like that. Though I feel bad about the guy, anyone should have known that a small car like that is dangerous for that very reason.

I can only imagine what the driver of that Smart Car would look like after that crash. I don't know much about those cars, but people who drive those must have a death wish.

Hate to break it to you...that'* not a smart. It'* a VW, look at the back in the second pic...not even close to looking like Smart. Smarts are actually one of the safest vehicles on the road.

Yup, it'* a Crossfox, a very sweet off road version of the fox (even though it'* only available with FWD). Sadly, it'* only available in Brazil...

yeah i remember seeing a Mercedes Head on crash test *.M.A.R.T vs full size SLK

and the *.M.A.R.T came out with better results.

But I think the results of a *.M.A.R.T VS MACK would end up the same only the left over parts on the *.M.A.R.T would likely be worth more to a yard.

Hey that was a good find. A VW Crossfox. Still a very small car. Not sure even our Bonne'* would fare any better if we hit a truck like that.

I got the pics in an E-mail that thought it was a Smart car from a friend. I wondered where it happened and who would let out pics of such a gory incident. I though it was from Europe.

Brazil. A very different country down under.

Yeah, that Smart Car did pretty well in that video. Though the concrete wasn't moving at 70 mph towards it. And even though our Bonnes are safer, I agree with Paul that a head-on crash with a semi would still probably result in some injuries. We all know how Jeff Keacher'* Bonne did, parked, against the Avalanche.
