If you look closely, the grill isn't the only change between that first pic Sol took, and the new one. The bumper is different too. If you look at the area below the headlights you'll see what I mean. Also check out Terran'* photo page to see the differences.

I like the first grill/bumper much better. The grill you can paint. But I don't know why they changed the bumper too. It looks more like an SE front now.

I agree. They put that very thin mesh everywhere. I liked the 2003 version because it had more of a metallic feel to it.

It has always looked like an SE bumper. What they have done is tried to refine the bumper a bit and...gasp...made it look a bit like cross between a Bonne and an Aurora.

It is a little better than the SE and it looks like projector fog lamps now. I still wish that Pontiac had kep the fog lamps on the interior location. I prefer the vampire look.

Yea, centered circle fogs are always a must have. It'* the trademark Bonneville signature.

It got the v8 because the l67 is on "lesser cars" so they needed something that was bigger, and better. It'* got more power and torque, and it'* a v8. They can't have the grand prix and the more expensive bonneville have the same powertrain, it'* like a vette and camaro sharing the powertrain.
GM is coming out with the 3900 engine, just like the 3500 thats in the new malibus. its supposed to be for the G6, I think? and put out 250hp. maybe GM should have put the m90 on this engine for the new bonnevilles? I think it would have been more economical than the northstar. Better fuel consumption, also, I'm sure that since it is a caddilac engine, it costs more to repair.

The 3900 is the 3800 of the future. Much more power potential out of these things. It may well end up in the Bonnie in years to come.
