Good question. I'm not sure about that.

The 4.0 Northstar is gone when Olds closed their doors. Having owned a 4.0 and now L67 I liked both but I gotta give it to the L67 when little modded. Stock for stock NORTHSTAR anyday. The GXP with the torqery n* and 3.73 gears sounds like fun though. I have appreciation for it.

BTW I got into a little highway race with STS and even with my mods at 85+mph the Northstar pulled away on my SSEi. Gotta love the high end of the DOHC. When the rockers go I wont have that problem anymore.

Oh ya and Northstars are more expensive to fix/work on. They also have common problems too. Just like evey other car.

Yea, I wouldn't dare race a N* on the freeway.

Yeah, the concept was a GX/P with a Series III 275 hp SC V6 with 300hp and a K&N air filter.

3900 is completely different. It'* a 60* engine, and DOHC, but it doesn't really put out more then the 3800. I like the 90* look, and the torque we got. I think the 4.0 or 4.4 is a good thing, and very welcomed.
