General GM Chat When starting new posts, please specify YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE type, and whatever modifications you have made. Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

Is it just me? (pumping gas...not about the price, nor MPG)

Anyhow, Mikey managed to get way more into it..somehow, he'll have to tell ya. Regardless of my inaccurate capacity claims, the principal is the same.

Ok..you are saying the claim needs to be increased, right? Will that be in gallons or liters and is it spelled liter or litre?

I've had this issue occasionally. Isn't there something in the neck that can get plugged that will cause it to do this? I thought I remembered reading it somewhere.

I was just having some fun with my previous comment.

Divide by 3.8 to get gallons bishes :P
I don't remember how much he did pump but I remember thinking that I've never been able to pump more than 13.8 gallons into that tank. Maybe Mike still has that receipt, I'm just glad he paid for that tank.

In my old 93' I had to have the rubbar guard on the nossle just outside of where the lid closes. If I pushed the nossle all the way in it would keep stopping. Just put the nossle in little past half way, then try pumping.

whenever that happens to me, i just pull the pump out a inch or so and try again. 99percent of the time it works like a charm.
