Default Just gotta rant....

Ok....

Time to write the next chapter of MacPhee & Knight Fire....
But first lets recap...

I was rearended back in October 03
It wasn't until January 04 that the car went in for repairs.
They had to replace some stuff under the bumper, repaint the bumper, fix the trunk lock, and trunk release.

They replaced the stuff under the bumper and repainted the bumper, but I was still having issues w/ the trunk lock and release, and I also noticed that my exhaust was not sitting right after the repairs.

So I brought it back to have the repair those issues.
After spending the day in the shop, they said that fixed the lock and release, but they'd need to orrder a part for the exhaust.

But they didn't fix the lock or the release.... so I phoned them and told them about it. They said they'd look at it again when I brought it back for the exhaust.

Two weeks went by and no phone call to tell me the part had arrived. So I phoned and they said they didn't know a part was needed. Ugh... so they said bring it by and they'd examin it to see what it needed... again.

So I brought it by on Wednesday, and they went over it. They concluded that the exhaust wasn't sitting right, but they didn't know why. They asked me to bring it back on Friday to fix the lock/release. Which was ok because it was going in Friday for some other minor things, compass, lubars and trim replacement.

Well on Friday I dropped it off. When I went back to pick it up, they had fixed the lumbars, and replaced the trim.. excellent. They saiid they had found nothing wrong w/ the compass.... and it had not made it over to have them replace the lock/release because they ran out of time. (I dropped it off at 8am, and picked it up at 6pm).

Anyways, when I went out to the car, the very first thing I noticed was my antenna was up, and bent 45 degrees... ugh. Apparently they had run it through the car wash, which was not touchless, with the antenna up. And then had apparently failed to notice it. So anyways they came out and took some photos of it.

Now it'* gotta go back in, to have the antenna replaced, lock/release fixed and guess what... compass repaired (because it'* still not working).

Just a side note... when I bought the car orginally, the antenna was busted and I had to have it replaced. The antenna that'* on it was installed in December.

Ouch. Look at the bright side. As long as you stay on them, there will be a few parts you won't have to worry about for a long time. Just about everything you listed is a typical late-life failure item! And they'll all be new!

Oh of course... I can't stand having nothing working....

It'* just a pain in the @$$.... that'* all.
It'* not like the dealership is exactly close too... it'* all the way across the two cities.... probably a good 1/2hr drive. (15mins w/ no traffic )

Sounds like a bunch of ***** working on your car. Don't be surprised if you find duct tape and zip ties holding something together!
