Default interior swap?

OK my 1994 LeSabre is ruby red, and has ruby red cloth interior. Drivers seat is full power, passenger seat is no power. If i could find Bonne seats with the same options, would it be plug and play and direct bolt in? Front and rear. Thanks guys!

I forget if someone actually did it. But it theoretically should be possible. And shouldn't be tough to add if the wiring isn't the same.

Where are the seat controls? Hopefully they're on the seat, in which case the harness plugging into it will be pretty straightforward.

The SSE/SSEi seat controls (as of my '93) are on the center console, with a Right/Left selector switch, but I'm going to guess that the SE/LE seats may have their controls on the base of the seats instead. Don't know if there was a right-side power seat in the SE/LE trim level, though...

Oh, wait a sec, I forgot I have the '93 Owner'* Manual in PDF form right on this machine here...

Ah, here we are on page 11: the "Power Seat (OPTION)" shows the LE/SE design with controls on the base of the seat... but no reference to a passenger'* side seat. The SSE/SSEi design shows the console switches used for power seats on both sides, referring to it as the "Adjustable Support Seat" option (and no, at no time do they refer to _that_ feature by its abbreviated name )...

My seat controls are on the door panel, along with the window switches and such...

I dunno, I'm not getting a good feeling about this. I don't think the SSE/SSEi seats would swap in at all, control-wise, since they're controlled by a panel in the center console. The SE/LE seats might work, but then you'd have one set of controls on your door and another on the seat, however that would work. I also don't know whether there _is_ a right-side power seat in the SE/LE design.

Buick being what it is, surely _they_ made a right-side power seat, didn't they? (And don't call me Shirley...)

For the SSE/SSEi seats (AL7), they could be used, but it would render your current switch inoperable.

I believe pat did the swap, along with ryan and one or two more. To swap in the AL7'*, you'll need the wiring harness cut from under the seats and console. It gets cut where it connects to the driver'* side main harness. From that, you just need to connect the Powers and the grounds to the correct powers and grounds from your car, and everything else should be self contained within that wiring.

if you just want to swap the seats for buckets, and retain the power driver and manual pass, you might be able to find a set of those, and then wire it so your current switch works, but that'll be custom, as I have never heard of it being done.

Hope that helps. I can try and provide more info if needed.
