Default IF YOU WERE ME....

A little mental masturbation here.....

IF.......You could change from a S1 L67 engine to an S2, based on the limited information listed below, which engine would you choose as a replacement and why.

Keep in mind, it is for a Sandrail, and must be supercharged. All engine prices listed are within my budget and have lass than 60K miles unless otherwise stated.

Just wanted your thoughts....

2007 Engine Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8l w/supercharger $2000
2006 Engine Pontiac Grand Prix w/supercharger $1800
2004 Engine Pontiac Grand Prix 13 000 MILES $1200
2002 Engine Pontiac Bonneville 75,000 miles $1000

the cheapeast engine because these are so cheap to mod it wouldn't be hard to make up the difference between the series II and series III engines. therefore, I'd choose the 1k SSEi engine.

The 2002 has the least power, but with the other motors you have to factor in the "drive by wire" throttlebodies.

GEN V blower FTW!

also, the drive-by-wire, may be advantageous in a situation like this, and if nothing else, you can adapt standard throttle bodies to it

I'd go for the 04. Low miles and less money than the 06 or 07. If you have the $2K you could get the 04 and spend the 800 difference on some killer mods instead.

All of these engines are supercharged. All are available in my area from wrecking yards.

Why is the Gen V blower such a big deal?
