I'm rather partial to 1997 models, naturally. By all accounts I'm a low-mileage driver, and I'm at the doorstep of 90,000 miles, so you've found another great deal. Champagne is my absolute favorite color, so either way, you're just gonna make me jealous.

I am a little biased with the newer Bonne (I'd hit that) but a 97 is much more affordable and a bit lighter.

You might get more support from the dealer on the 02 than the old man'* 97....hmmm coolant leak, sits alot, proper maintenance may be suspect...

The decision must be yours.

That 97 would be tight, and not as radically different from the 94 like it is going to a 2002. And much cheaper. Coolant leaks and paint chips can be fixed, just make sure there isnt any rust spots that would be costly or impossible to repair. Plus, you got something which the 2002 doesn't have: AL7.

Shoot for the 97. Lighter, make it a monster, and IMO just plain stylish.

I think I'd be pretty happy in that 97
Its really nice, and has been taken care of.
Its more my style right now, and its more in my affordability range.

Plus fewer issues (in some respects), no faulty regulators, bubbling hood paint, or intermediate steering shaft.
