I hope I didnt mess up anything.
I was out fiddling around with my rear shocks after I changed the air filter and filled the radiator back up with antifreeze and chnged the hose when I thought to myself, :Let me seee if the coolant will leak out". I started the car for 15mins and waisted to see if there where any leaks and there wasnt. I fixed the hose, and i was happy. The mistake is that I said i wasnt going to check that until tomorrow when I get my new 02 sensor put in. I took the old one off and started the car without it. Made a nice load rumbly noise though.

I, too, can't confirm you didn't hurt anything, but if all you did was run the car without the O2 sensor, I would be willing to bet real money all you did was throw a code and maybe burn a little extra gas...

it doesnt sound like the car was on long enough to actually start taking readings from the o2 sensor, so i doubt he actually threw a code. do u know what temp the engine was at when u turned it off?

I would loook at that problem this way. GM engineers should have coded in a setting in the computer for when there is no O2 sensor because if you were driving and hit something which cut the 02 wires, then they should have it planned out so no damage would be done.
