Something like that happened to me a couple months ago as well....racing my friend'* bf'* civic. Off the light I had him by like 8 lengths then all of a sudden he blasted out of NO WHERE and flew to like 12 lengths ahead He tried to tell me that he didn't have NOS in it but had to stop at the gas station and shut the car off because it overhearted and my friend said he flicked some switch or something LOL but he denied having NOS...yea...ok...whatever.

hey was telling the truth that switch is wired up to a vent on his intake (after the "turbo") when he hit the switch it closed the vent, thus adding "boost" to his "engine" and giving him "power" (note i said "power" not "more power") that is how he flew past you like that... now what you need to do is go and change the jets on his "turbo" from the 50 or so "shot" (thats what they call it on these part time "turbos") to a 200 or so "shot" (without him knowing of corse) then race him again...

I'm assuming this is something recent...it was an older style one, 87, and he just happened to tell my friend he had NOS in his civic...then after the race and i accused him of "cheating" (haha) he said no the NOS was in his OTHER civic...bleh...whatever.

I just don't like it cause it gives your engine a beating.

Yea it is possible but pointless. You dont really gain that much more power than if you were to have just the supercharger or the turbo.

Don't worry guys, I won't take offence. 2 of my so called "friends" bash me all the time for having it. They both have 70'* muscle cars (wish I still had my 70 Coronet at times) and say its cheating and fake.
Then I say, "Well what about the Trans Am'* and Firebirds, and all the other muscle cars that have nitrous at the strip."
He replies, "They are stupid and gay morons who should be shot and they ruin the cars that way."
And I say, "Those 'morons' are 50 year old men who are old enough to be your grandpa and have been racing their entire lives." Then more garbage comes out of his mouth and I ignore it.

So by all means, go ahead and hate...I'm used to it.

But I personally did it as a way to make up for having no */C, no possible way of getting headers, and my engine being an L27. Also its a fun factor.

i can't believe you are pissed that you lost to a nitrous equipped car, if it happened to me i'd admire the guy and and congratulate him on the win...it sounds to me like he was messing with you, letting you pull ahead thinking your tough ****, and then burned you, i wish i could have seen it, that would have been hilarious! you all pissed and crying "NOS is cheating!!!" hahaha ... if you think nitrous is "cheating", what upgrade isn't cheating?
