General GM Chat When starting new posts, please specify YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE type, and whatever modifications you have made. Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

I guess it's official...sniff

The L67 will be forever. I still out perform the compitition. Remember, a stock 5.0L will be destroyed by a L67 and A L67 will destroy a 5.0 Lincoln Mark VII or 5.0 Stang. Long live the Ser 2 L67!!!!!

It will take about 10 years for me to be affected by this decision as most every car I have ever owned was 10 years old or older. Because of the high production numbers, and shared platform, parts will be plentiful and inexpensive for many years. Anyone with money can purchase a new car - big deal. As time goes on, owning and maintaining a Bonneville in top shape will take some skill and effort, and make Bonneville owners an even more exclusive group. Suits me fine!

'99 will always be my favorite year. But it was still nice to know there were new girls rolling of the line. I can't help but feel a little empty inside.
Here'* to the name that had a good run, and all the bonnes out there that just got a little more collectable

I can't believe how stupid GM is. They could have revived the Bonnie easily! If they had given Pontiac the same kind of attention that Caddy got, they'd never have to worry about killing off models.

Sad. At least the 2000+ bonnie owners can forever say they have the newest model.
