The whine you hear is all gears and rotors. But I've noticed the L36 sounds better than the L27 with a good intake with a cone. Not sure why, but the intake runners are different in the upper intake. That might be it.

The SC noise gets transmitted right back down the intake pipe and out the filter and headlight.

No, not at all. A NA doesn't have gears and rotors.

That'* SC whine you hear.
And the M62 whines more than the M90.

You wanna hear some ****? You should be standing there when DrJay and I are running side-by-side.

Harofreak....My 95 is loud as hell too, when I first start it and its just idling you can hear it sucking air then when the AC compressor kicks on and off and the idle changes the airflow sucking will change too, but when I get on it HEADS turn....I love to rev on the ricers to see them turn there heads and look for the turbo car that just made that noise....But when I did my heatshielding it definitaly acted as a sound suppressant also...But its still loud from the outside.......man whats wrong with a little loud, as long as it sounds good? My SER2 car sounds downright quiet with the SLP intake, but it has a plastic heatshield box around it.

damn, i'd love to have that whine.. oh well. Guess i'll have to see how it turns out, and if it sounds anythign like it running w/o an air box, just straight from the MAF body i'll be damn happy [I didn't drive ti like that btw].

geez, will, your boost gauge is pretty much worthless. You go through it like THAT. Do you have an aftermarket one hooked up?
