im pretty pissed/disappointed about my CAI...i got the rice pipe on and my rx-4750 filter.

ITS SO EFFING LOUD

i really didnt think it would be this loud. anytime my boost is over 0psi i can hear it over my system. its not so bad considering i know whats going on, but most people dont know what it is, and they think something is wrong with my motor. the worst part is i dont think i got any power increase. ill try it out for a few more days, and ill get back to you with my opinion

Mine wasn't THAT much louder. And it quieted down when I put the heatshield around it.

But I DID feel an increase, even when switching from my modified stock airbox and K&N. I did notice it took a little while for my PCM to learn it though. Give it 50-100 miles and tell us what you think.

well the thing is i drove from mt lake, mn to sioux falls, sd, about 100 miles with it on last night. im still in sioux falls, otherwise i would get some pics.

keep in mind this thing is louder than any turbo video i have ever heard. if someone wants to call me i can drive around with the phone, you can hear it easily haha

What you hear are the straight-cut gears in the nosedrive. Sounds like an Indy-car gearbox. That was WITHOUT a heatshield if I recall. (last christmas). Sound like that?

very hard video to tell from. can you hear it with your music blaring? does it sound fake? mine does

i have nothing with me right now, visiting friends. the best i could do anyways is take pictures. i have a POS camera with no sound. if you wanna listen on a phone call it could be arranged haha...otherwise i dont know. but a video from inside would be cool

My CAI is VERY LOUD. I absolutely love it. I can see how it would be annoying if it is drowning out your system, but it really gives that car a mean sound when you pass by people.

I'll shoot a couple vids today and post them later. I'll shoot the boost gauge so you can associate the sound to boost levels.
