Okay we all know how the 4 cycle engine works where you have Intake-Compression-Power-Exhaust. . .

My question is when #1 cylinder'* piston is on the compression stroke approaching top dead center, are any of the other pistons in the exact same position on the compression stroke? :?

Alright then which of the other cylinders are at TDC compression at the same time as #1?

I'm talking about the 3800 of course.

None of them. The opposite cylinder on that ignition coil is TDC on the Exhaust stroke at the same time. Firing order is literally in numeric order.

Okay, that would mean that the remaining 4 cylinders are at various positions of crankshaft rotation between TDC compression and TDC exhaust then correct?

Okay, going by what WillWren said, #1 is at TDC Compression while #4 is at TDC Exhaust; I'm just wondering what position the other four cylinders are at during that time. :?:

The piston lobes have 60 degree seperation, if that helps.
ie 1 & 6 make a 60 degree angle
6 & 5 make another 60 degree angle (1&5 make a 120)
