Default I was in an accident Saturday

I am ok. no pics. My car is fine. THe president of my local club isnnt. We were leaving the frest preserve in a normal persession and there were a coupl;e of ppl that cut in front of us brakeing or line. Mainly itwas because they were losing the left lane and they came over at the last minute, well afeter i get in the construction zone, the other bonneville member in front of me stops hard cuase the person (Non bville car) stops quickly made me brake hard and then i looked in the rear view mirror. Where I was , the orange cones were in my way. I looked and i see that the president wasnt paying attention untill it was too late. BOOOOOOOM!! I was pushed up my steering wheel for a bit. Got out the car and saw both cars. My sttel part of the bumper saved mine from crunching, but his car, well, he need a new hood, light cover and his radiator holder pulled back in place. Man that startle me but we are both ok.

Sounds similar to the damamge my car had when I reared a Cadillac. Several grand later, good as new. Bent frame rails for the bumper. Did his angle up?

I'm happy you're all ok.

...the curse strikes again...

His bumper was actually fine. The top part like his grill hood and headlight was messed up and the radiator frame.

That'll help the cost, but a hood is like $600.

I needed: hood, headlights, corner lights, bumper cover, bumper, frame rails re-bent, hood, radiator support, grill, AC recharge (though, I'm not sure why, maybe the shop was trying to inflate the bill), miscellaneous small things.

I found good deals on: headlights, grill, bumper and cover, corner lights.

Total estimate: $5400
Cost after finding my own parts: $3700

Ouch. So let me get this straight: He hit the back of your car? Was yours the one I saw with that loose lower flange, where the bottom edge of your bumper cover was detached all the way across? Is it still good enough to reassemble or are you needing a new one now?

...and who'* the president of your club? Not a member here?

He was going to the junkyard todahy. Damn, 600 for a hood? Ouch. I really wish he watched what he was doing. I am just glad it wasnt my fault. White curse my ***. If it was my car would have been messed up. The metal piece saved that.
