One of my students was running late for work; so she jumped out of her car locked the doors and just barely punched in on time. Well all day long she kept hearing this car running outside. She kept thinking to herself "Who'* the idiot that has left their car running?" Thankfully she had a full tank of gas...to start with. Eight hours and a half a tank of gas later, she realized that she was that idiot.

I remember several occasions when i was a kid an my dad had locked the keys in the car. He'd go looking for a old hanger and get the door open that way. I had to do it once myself when i first got my lisense. The previous owner of my lesabre told me he hid a set of keys underneith incase he ever got locked out, he told me exactly where i could find them too, 3 years later i still never was not able to find them. He came by crawled under and pulled them out to my diss belief.
Most recently in the summer i was at an amusement park all day and right when the park was closing, i realized i had dropped my keys somewhere and my cellphone was left in the car. I told my girl to give me her bra an ide attempt to use the wires in it to pop the door (she didnt think to highly of that idea)

Like i don't know that. :? It'* unfortunate, but we all make stupid mistakes involving our cars...it happens, we pray we did no permanent damage, and we move on...

and laugh later...
