Are those cars the same years? I know many years have different fuel tank gauge sizes.

Nope. All 92-99 instument panels are the same for all SE, SSE'* and SSEis. SE'* have smaller fuel gauges, temp volt oil and the other thingy and the SSE, SSEis have bigger ones. I thought you knew that.
