I filled up my tank yesterday. I had 154.2 miles on the trip guage and I put in 7.659 gallons in. Jeff said I should be getting better gas mileage. Last week when we calculated it I was getting about 30 mpg but that was unusual. Each week I calculate the mileage and it usually averages about 23 mpg. I try to use the cruise when on the hwy to save gas. I would say 95% of my driving is hwy. Out of a 46 mile day only 8 miles is city driving. Maybe my O2 sensor??

Maybe, I would think that you get at least 27-28 if you are all highway (or 90% anyway) It also depends on your driving habits!

Like I said I usually use my cruise set at 71 mph and I don't speed around my town because they have zero tolerance. I don't know what else it could be. Jeff kept telling me that I'm figuring it wrong so I made him do it and he said it should be better than that.

Believe it or not, my SSEi gets about 2mpg better than my bone-stock 95 when I cruise the exact same route 5mph faster in the SSEi than the SLE.

Nearly every mod I've done to the SSEi has added efficiency as well as power.

Aren't you also sporting a new transmission in the 93 also? I never got to finish reading about it, left off where it was giving you bad shifts. Is it stock? Could that also be helping mileage?

You have a good point, but my average fuel economy on the SSEi only went up 1mpg with the VERY well-built balls-out performance tranny and ALOT of work on the top end of the motor.
