Default Cannot Reset DIC Trip AVG MPG Display

I cannot reset the Trip Average Miles Per Gallon display on the DIC. I am able to reset the Gallons Used display and the Trip OD. I just had the oil changed on Tuesday and today I tried to reset the DIC after a fill up. The dealer did change the Oil Life Display on the DIC at the time of the oil change.

Anyone else ever have this problem and if you did what is the fix?

Disconnect your neg battery cable for 30 min. That will do it.

Are you holding the reset button for a long enough duration? It might take 4-5 seconds once you depress the reset button & hold it to actually reset.

markwb:
Yep I held it in for longer than 15 seconds. the reset and select buttons work for all other functions.

Rogue:
I will try the 30 minute disconnect tomorrow night after work.

That'* weird that only one function wouldn't reset like that. Im betting that the battery disconect will solve the problem.
