help with rims
hello all i got a question for you guys , i have a 95 se , its in great shape but the rims are shot, they are chipped and peeling , and basicly look like hell, dose any one know how to fix them up , like a way to paint them or fix them in any way ?thanx alot for any info !!
Well.. depending on what the rim material is made of. If it'* aluminum.. I can't help you.. if it'* steel.. it'* going to be some major elbow grease to sand the areas down ( Where the paint chips and or have rust ). Prime and Paint with automotive paint. I'm sure others have better suggestions. Try callin around your local scrap yard and tire shops.. they may have used rims for sale at a cheap price that'll fit your car.
Welcome aboard by the way. And before Willwren the

The aluminum wheels on my 96 SSEI had chipped and peeling clear coat and corrosion marks when I got it. I took them to a guy who refinished them on a lathe and clear coated them. This was 2 years ago and they still look great. Cost was about $80.00 each. There are probably shops in your area that can do this.
