Help Me!
Ok....My service engine soon light has been on for awhile. So I checked my codes and got a code 41. This is the Camshaft position sensor. Where is the sensor? Is this bad? Thanks.
Wow. Got another one! Talk to Jim or Jr. They've both been through this. It'* probably something you're going to live with for awhile. Expensive, unless you're comfortable tearing that sucker down yourself.
Agreed, save up your pennies and get it done, I lived with a code 41 issue for almost a year. If you have the tools to rip apart the engine and get to the camshaft to replace the timing chain, tensioner and cam magne, then by all means do it.
Other wise, be prepared to shell out 400-800 bones. But it transforms your car into a monster...
No regrets on my part...and no more SES light

I have decided to do this myself....But I'm not gonna lie, I NEED SOME HELP. Where do I get started? What special tools do I need? How much do I have to take off? If I could get a step by step procedure, I'd ask for that, but I doubt I can! Thanks guys!
Best thing to do is remove the right front wheel and wheelwell shroud. Go in through there. Remove the water pump and timing chain cover to access everything. I strongly suggest you purchase Chilton'* #28200 for about 20 bucks. It'll take you right through the procedure, trouble-free.
This might be a good time to replace the water pump if you have high miles. Replace the timing chain and sprocket, too.
That'* just a quick run-down. After getting that book, I doubt you'll have many questions!
