That'* from the "1.9 – 8/23/07" version. Looks like they did a lot of updates to it. Looks like that is the newest version though. That leads me to question where the ECU is grounded to, sounds like I need to find good bolt near the firewall and clean it up. I don't know about soldering the wires to the bolt... I think a good sized ring terminal with the wires soldered to it should be sufficient. I'll just run a ground in for the inside gauge with the rest of the wires.

Thanks Dan. I think it would better to give the gauge it'* own separate ground Trent, especially if there is a good block ground right there. Although your right, we would be fine. Might as well to it right though, no slacking now.

There'* the engine sensor ground located on the rear horizontal bolt of the power steering bracket on the 00+'*. In the 96-99'* it'* the same hole, but a different length bolt because we don't get the ps bracket.
I went to one of the ground busses in the cabin. Passengerside and then soldered the wires to it. A little overkill, but I wanted to know the AFR was correct because my motor is worth a little solder to me. Plus I was anal retentive that day.
Being that both of you guys are 00+ and sharing the sensor (right?) I'd use one of the ground splice packs either inside or outside. They are all over your engine bay. ie ( by the ICM, on the trans by the selector, etc etc.

We are sharing it, that'* why we want the extensions so we can unplug from one car and move it to the other. Power and ground will also have to be a quick disconnect. Instead of running to a splice pack, I figured I would solder an 8GA wire to a ring terminal and ground it to the block right outside the firewall, then run that inside the firewall with the extension for the sensor/gauge.
