ROFL! Bet there was a few boaters wishing they hadn't drank so much beer as he whisked over them,

I grew up an AirForce brat and lived oversea'* alot where they aren't held back from braking the sound barrier. I used to think it was the coolest thing to hear the sonic booms and see the sonic shock waves.

I used to fish lake Michigan, and just north of Sheboygan is restricted air space. More then once I was used as target practice. Nothing like trolling, nice and quite, laying back enjoying the day. then, out of nowhere, BOOM, a jet is pulling up and away. Lots of dummy sidewinders pulled in with fishing nets.

ROFLMAO!!! ... Nothing like kicking back on the boat and suddenly watching a sidewinder dummy skip across the water at you. Sounds like the making for a good Strohs Beer commercial. Whats their motto? "We'll be around when your ready".... I'd be ready for a couple.

I just got of the phone with my father, age 63, and he remembers being on the island of Guam when they tested atomic bombs far of the coast. He told me he would be on the beach making sand castles and a lil' child and looking up at the on the horizon seeing the very top of what to him seemed to be a thunderstorm....next he felt warm winds. I know for a fact that they did test of Guam on WW2 naval ships. The distance would have been at least 50 to 75 miles to be "safe". He served in the USAF as a Red Barret/ black ops.
