Seems to have good compression just from handcranking, but I am still considering taking it down to the shortblock and seeing how the pistons look. Rods have no play at all aside from the normal side to side. It'* been sitting a while, so new seals are going to go in regardless.

Down to the semi-long block now. Got one head off of it, and again...I'm not dissapointed. It was a little carboned up, but easily cleaned up.

Parts I either have or on the way are new lifters, oil pump, head bolts, and a full gasket set.

Nothing! I bought a brand new one for my build, but didn't end up using it.

What are the chances you'll use Intense'* oil pressure kit?

I'm very close to ordering one for my car, and I was hoping I'd be able to leech info off of someone.

Either way it turns out, that is a nice and shiny engine! I'm sure you're having a ton of fun ripping that thing apart. What do you expect all the pistons to look like?
