Probably. There seem to be some differences. Depending on what tires your car shipped from the factory with, but seeing that yours is of the same vintage as mine, it probably is.

HOWEVER....mine shipped with Z rated tires (according to the RPO label), and mine was still limited to 128.

Check your RPO label. It has a better memory than Gramps (don't tell him I said that)

Yeah but yours goes faster than 128 correct?
I wonder what my tire rating was when it was shipped, its governd at 110 mph.

My Jet Stage 2 PCM removed my top speed limit (or at least moved it to 199). If you're limited at 110, your car shipped with something rated lower than H tires.

with the jet stg 2 chip alot was removed or helped lol and now with ever other mod you can do to it the stg 2 will help.........156mph Will you where there once i belivie....itsa rush as you hit that mark and then go a lil further pass that lmao....but don`t do it all the time .....don`t try this at home

yea, 110 for me I think, tried to go a little faster but that though of State troopers being ever so sneaky I slowed down, hey at least I whooped my brothers! ( was a pretty impressive match he was rid'n on 20'* and I was on stock 16'*)

The sticker on the door will tell you what size/rating tires came with your car, and you won't have to translate the RPO code.
